Being more specific, he is an outspoken Christian. He lives out his faith and is a natural leader. Regardless of how he develops, Denver will benefit from Tebow’s character, humility, and intensity.

I am a sucker for the underdog story. Tebow is an underdog. I have to admit that even I have my doubts about his ability to take his game to the next level. However, I am not going to make any gaurantees, like so many like to do, about how he will do. I am cheering for him and hoping that he proves all of the naysayers wrong.

Tebow’s presence will serve as a nice counterbalance to Josh McDaniels ego.

I have full confidence in Tebow’s work ethic. It will be contagious, I think.

Number 15 will be redeemed.

I am concerned with the “parting of ways” between Josh McDaniels and DC Mike Nolan. Is McDaniels trying to rebuild all over again in 2010? Does he think all of his daring moves were successful this past season(8-8)?

The rumor is that McDaniels is going to bring in Dean Pees from New England to replace Nolan. Does he want the organization to change its name to Patriots West too?

At some point, Josh McDaniels is going to have to slow down and work with what he has. He is not a proven entity, but he seems to believe that the Broncos can be successful no matter what drastic moves he makes. I really would like him to stop flexing his “I am in charge” muscles and commit to the players and personnel that are in his care, making the most of what is there and turning the team he was hired to coach into a winner.

Too many coaches are all about “their guys” when they should be about their team. I am afraid to say that Josh McDaniels is proving that he is no different.

FROM RAIDERS FANS:

“There ain’t no good old days. Nothing’s changed. I didn’t get this article. I am gentically programmed by DNA at birth as a fan—as is the entire organization—to hate your stinking Bronco guts. And I really hate you and the scab pile known as the Broncos. And this article.

Nothing’s changed. This rivalry has been playing slow, nasty, emotional football for decades now. We hate SanDiego but we hate Denver even more. I’m pissed off as we speak and I look forward to the ass-whupin, and your tears, after the game.” (Brent)

“Hey you donkey midgets…. You want the Raiders to be competitive ?… Well thanks… So do we…. But who the hell do you think you are ….your team isn’t elite…. You’ve lost 5 of your last 7 games… So where do you get off trying to talk down to us…. Were bringing a 3rd string QB to the stinky stadium you call home.. Your teams done nothing for you to have your donkey butts in the air about….we’ve beat better teams than yours this year… If we beat you then you should wear bags over your donkey heads…. Wish we were competitive?… That’s funny…and stupid too… You haven’t won a playoff game in over a decade…. As soon as our Qb situations settled you may be sorry about your fantasy wish… Wish we were better… ? What a laugh…… If you make the playoffs you’ll be 1 and out…. Wishing we were better… What a joke…how’s this for keeping the rivalry alive…. Donks…we just might beat you…” (Fingersrdrs Raiders)

My response: “You haven’t won a playoff game in over a decade.”
I forgot that a lot of you Raider fans don’t know how to do math. 2005, we beat the Patriots (didn’t they beat you in the playoffs one year?) and made it to the AFC Championship. I’m sure the next thing you’ll say is that we lost to Pittsburgh and you beat Pittsburgh this year, right? 2009-2005=4. Get your facts straight. Talk all the trash you want and repeat the words “Wish we were better” over and over again, but at least get your facts straight.

His repetitive rebuttal: “Ok, 1 playoff win in 9 years…. Wow…like I said… Your mules have done nothing to warrent you wishing we were better….in fact I’d hope my fellow Raider fans would slap the teeth right outta my face if they ever heard me say something as ignorant as wishing another rival team was better…wish we were better?… I hope your mules never win another game in your mule infested life…. I sure as hell wouldnt stand by and listen to any Raider wish you were better…..that’s wimpy….it’s lame…. It’s stupid….. A team that’s just lost 5 of the last 7 wishes we were better?… Did you have brain damage as a child?… Or are you some snotty nosed kid that doesn’t realize were the Raiders [It is supposed to say "we're the Raiders" or "we are the Raiders." They are bad at math and grammar]….. Well always be bettter…. The afc west is always ours……and as bad as we’ve been the donkeys or those imposters in San Diego have not been able to do anything…. The last few years we’ve been able to split our season series with you donkeys and you wish we were better?.. Lmaoooo… That’s so funny…The Raiders trashed the mules on our last visit to invesco, and your [you're or you are ] wishing we were better.?…2 years in a row now your dumb donkeys have blown 3 + game leads… Choked… Couldn’t hold big leads…. We helped you lose that lead last year… Remember?… And you wish we were better….if we can, we,ll smash the donkeys like a bug on the sidewalk… While your wishing we were better….. Talk about dumb……..”

Josh,

We helped to knock you out of the playoffs last year, and a win on Sunday could assist doing so yet again.

We usually take one game from you, so if we improved, by logic we’d probably start sweeping you. You wouldn’t like that, I promise.

So while I understand what you are saying in so far as wishing the rivalry would regain some of it’s luster with the Raiders improving, in reality the rivalry has still been decent. We always get up to play the donkeys, and you always get up to play us.

But the condescending nature of your article is insulting. You insinuate that the Raiders simply aren’t competitive, which isn’t true. So wait until you sweep us or do something of consequence in the playoffs before you get on your high donkey and heap misplaced sympathy and empathy on us.

FROM BRONCOS FANS:

“I hate the raiders and especially their fans because I live in raiderland and I have to deal with them every day. That’s my starting point when I meet a raiderfan, and it is up to them to change my mind. Some have. Most haven’t. The raiderfans at Silver and Black Pride or any other SuperBowl Nation site get a pass. I respect MHR so much that I will even be civil to a raiderfan.

If you haven’t been to a Bronco game in chokeland wearing your Bronco colors like I have, you might think the rivalry is dead. It isn’t. Do that first, and then tell me you feel sorry for raiderfans. I sure don’t. Not now. Not ever.” (Yosemite Sam)

“They can be the next detroit lions of the NFL for the next 20 years and I’m cool with that. I live in center of Raider fans and knuckle dragging would be a compliment to most of them. With the raiders suffering as they do, it keeps their drunken mouths quiet for a few years. It’s kinda peaceful and nice now. Why would I want that to end?” (BroncolnExile)

“I like seeing them where they are. And I’m not sure I see the logic in saying the NFL is better with a good raiders team. Why? So when the raiders lose or don’t win something al davis and their whiny fan base can introduce some hair brained conspiracy about how the rest of the league interferes with their greatness? screw them.

Also, let’s not forget (and it may have been mentioned above somewhere) that we’re 2-2 with them the last two years. And, I think, it was that Oakland loss at home last year that killed our season — even more than that Buffalo game.

I don’t need a rivalry with these guys. We don’t need it. The Broncos don’t need it. If the Broncos are relevant we will always have a rival (i.e Raiders South). Broncos/Raiders are a nostalgic rivalry and if the raiders ever matter again and we matter, then so be it. But we don’t need it.” (vincerelli)

“worst professional franchise in all of sports, they can proudly wear that mantle for the next 100 years and I will not shed a tear. I am still pissed the Lions beat them to the 0-16 mark, what would be cool is for the Raiders to somehow go 0-32, that would be a great day. And I don’t uunderstand how you could ever cheer for the Raiders, that is like cheering for Communism in my book.” (Broncoman)

This is a good article with lots of Josh McDaniels’ quotes as he presents his side of the story. Honestly, I totally believe his side of the story regarding that cocky punk Sean Phillips (I hope I mispelled his name; I don’t care enough to even check). He is always talking some trash, and I am glad if Josh McDaniels threw it back at him. I think Ryan Clark of the Steelers should mind his own business regarding what transpired between the Chargers linebackers and Denver’s coach.

McDaniels shouldn’t even have to apologize about a network picking up an F bomb from him on the sideline. He was not miked up; he was doing his job. If you have ever been to a professional football game, you hear the F word more than any other word, it seems. It is up to the networks to screen and filter that out.

I am thinking that some guys in the NFL are feeling threatened by Josh McDaniels and need to villify him somehow. People who don’t like the Broncos are going to judge him regardless, but I am glad that Josh McDaniels is telling his side of the story.

This site was devoted to the culture change that is taking place within the Denver Broncos organization. After a four-game relapse that is reminiscent of the 2006, 2007, and 2008 seasons, this site is now about change that needs to take place.

I am not calling for the firing of Josh McDaniels, but our so-called boy genius has a long way to go. I am willing to give him time (like two seasons worth), but getting better before you get worse is one of the worst feelings–far too familiar to longsuffering Broncos fans.

Maybe the MSM was right about the Denver Broncos. I hate to say it. However, McDaniels has been unable to motivate his team and get them performing. They were outplayed by Baltimore and Pittsburgh, humiliated in DC, and curb-stomped by our fiercest division rivalry at home after beating them earlier in the season (that one really hurts). No adjustments seem to be being made.

I hate to say anything negative regarding the hot start. Unfortunately, it will mean absolutely nothing if we lose out on the playoffs. The 6-0 record is quickly disintegrating. Why? I understand that we aren’t a perfect team, but are we this bad? Did the boys put all of their heart and soul on the line those first six games and are now running on empty? Did McDaniels think that they could do the exact same thing week after week and avoid opposing NFL coaches figuring them out? Were the Broncos so amazing at adjusting in the second half of games, only to become completely unable to adjust, at all, to adversity in the middle of a season?

These are the questions that I would like to have answered. I am done making excuses for the Broncos. I was Shanahan’s harshest critic. I still think he needed to move on from the Broncos, but I need to be fair in my assessment of Josh McDaniels too. Therefore, in all fairness, I think the Broncos’ coaching and performance has been inexcusable the past four weeks.

I thought Josh McDaniels was changing the culture. Maybe he is, but there is still a lot of work to do.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I love his enthusiasm and his support of his team. While I am a bit discouraged after the Broncos’ play on Sunday, I do agree that the Broncos are still a good team and that the media’s constant “I told you so’s” are getting very old. Please click the link below, read his article, and leave a comment.
