My response: “You haven’t won a playoff game in over a decade.”
I forgot that a lot of you Raider fans don’t know how to do math. 2005, we beat the Patriots (didn’t they beat you in the playoffs one year?) and made it to the AFC Championship. I’m sure the next thing you’ll say is that we lost to Pittsburgh and you beat Pittsburgh this year, right? 2009-2005=4. Get your facts straight. Talk all the trash you want and repeat the words “Wish we were better” over and over again, but at least get your facts straight.

His repetitive rebuttal: “Ok, 1 playoff win in 9 years…. Wow…like I said… Your mules have done nothing to warrent you wishing we were better….in fact I’d hope my fellow Raider fans would slap the teeth right outta my face if they ever heard me say something as ignorant as wishing another rival team was better…wish we were better?… I hope your mules never win another game in your mule infested life…. I sure as hell wouldnt stand by and listen to any Raider wish you were better…..that’s wimpy….it’s lame…. It’s stupid….. A team that’s just lost 5 of the last 7 wishes we were better?… Did you have brain damage as a child?… Or are you some snotty nosed kid that doesn’t realize were the Raiders [It is supposed to say "we're the Raiders" or "we are the Raiders." They are bad at math and grammar]….. Well always be bettter…. The afc west is always ours……and as bad as we’ve been the donkeys or those imposters in San Diego have not been able to do anything…. The last few years we’ve been able to split our season series with you donkeys and you wish we were better?.. Lmaoooo… That’s so funny…The Raiders trashed the mules on our last visit to invesco, and your [you're or you are ] wishing we were better.?…2 years in a row now your dumb donkeys have blown 3 + game leads… Choked… Couldn’t hold big leads…. We helped to knock you out of the playoffs last year, and a win on Sunday could assist doing so yet again.

We usually take one game from you, so if we improved, by logic we’d probably start sweeping you. You wouldn’t like that, I promise.

So while I understand what you are saying in so far as wishing the rivalry would regain some of it’s luster with the Raiders improving, in reality the rivalry has still been decent. We always get up to play the donkeys, and you always get up to play us.

But the condescending nature of your article is insulting. You insinuate that the Raiders simply aren’t competitive, which isn’t true. So wait until you sweep us or do something of consequence in the playoffs before you get on your high donkey and heap misplaced sympathy and empathy on us.

“I hate the raiders and especially their fans because I live in raiderland and I have to deal with them every day. That’s my starting point when I meet a raiderfan, and it is up to them to change my mind. Some have. Most haven’t. The raiderfans at Silver and Black Pride or any other SuperBowl Nation site get a pass. I respect MHR so much that I will even be civil to a raiderfan.

If you haven’t been to a Bronco game in chokeland wearing your Bronco colors like I have, you might think the rivalry is dead. It isn’t. Do that first, and then tell me you feel sorry for raiderfans. I sure don’t. Not now. Not ever.” (Yosemite Sam)

 

“They can be the next detroit lions of the NFL for the next 20 years and I’m cool with that. I live in center of Raider fans and knuckle dragging would be a compliment to most of them. With the raiders suffering as they do, it keeps their drunken mouths quiet for a few years. It’s kinda peaceful and nice now. Why would I want that to end?” (BroncolnExile)

So when the raiders lose or don’t win something al davis and their whiny fan base can introduce some hair brained conspiracy about how the rest of the league interferes with their greatness? screw them.

Also, let’s not forget (and it may have been mentioned above somewhere) that we’re 2-2 with them the last two years. And, I think, it was that Oakland loss at home last year that killed our season — even more than that Buffalo game.

I don’t need a rivalry with these guys. We don’t need it. The Broncos don’t need it. If the Broncos are relevant we will always have a rival (i.e Raiders South). Broncos/Raiders are a nostalgic rivalry and if the raiders ever matter again and we matter, then so be it. But we don’t need it.” (vincerelli)
